The return of Africa’s biggest MICE exhibition, Meetings Africa, has set an optimistic tone for the industry in 2022, and Tsogo Sun Hotels’ renowned Sandton Convention Centre was once again the perfect setting for the event.
Meetings Africa provides the ideal platform for industry organisations to showcase their offerings and engage with hosted buyers from around the globe. It also facilitates networking among leaders, peers and partners, paving the way for significant collaborations and stimulating growth. This year, Tsogo Sun Hotels had the pleasure of hosting 120 buyers from across the world at the group’s opulent Sandton Sun hotel, enabling extended dialogue and inspiring optimism for the year ahead.
Meetings Africa 2022 provided a welcome return to business for Sandton Convention Centre and, after the challenges presented by the last two years, served as a significant milestone for the MICE industry, paving the way for the road to recovery. The year ahead will see the return of several firm favourite public events and exhibitions to the Sandton Convention Centre, such as the highly acclaimed Standard Bank Joy of Jazz festival, the Joburg Art Fair in September, and WineX, South Africa’s largest wine tasting under one roof, in October. For the first time, the annual Decorex Home Expo Show will make its home at the Sandton Convention Centre in July.
