All set for a safer, smarter, bigger, and better WTM Africa

The World Travel Market Africa (WTM Africa) has chosen a hybrid format for its 2022 event, allowing exhibitors to meet with more buyers than ever before.
WTM Africa will take place live and in-person from April 11 to 13, 2022 in the host city of Cape Town, running alongside the International Luxury Travel Market Africa (ILTM Africa) as part of Africa Travel Week, while a virtual event will take place on April 4th and 5th.
With the theme of Recover, Rebuild, Innovate, WTM Africa will once again bring together exhibitors and buyers from across the world to network, exchange ideas, share news, and discuss innovation in the travel and tourism sector. The event organisers created a hybrid format to accommodate for the possibility that some buyers may be unable to attend the live event. Going hybrid is “for a safer, smarter, bigger, and better WTM,” according to the WTM Africa website.
During the virtual event, exhibitors will be able to connect with buyers from all over the world who are unable to attend the live event due to travel restrictions, COVID regulations, or simply fear of travelling. One-on-one meetings and virtual speed networking sessions will be offered using the same technology that was used for Africa Travel Week (ATW) Virtual 2021. Only exhibitors and buyers are allowed to attend the virtual event.
Three day live event
All travel industry experts are welcome to attend the three-day live event at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Conference sessions with speakers from all over the world, face-to-face networking, the African Responsible Tourism Awards, press conferences, and more await visitors.
Each event will attract a different set of buyers, giving exhibitors a particular edge because the buyers they meet online will differ from those who attend the actual event, resulting in a more diverse and enriched pool of buyers.
