JANUARY TOURISM FIGURES POINT TO BEST SUMMER EVER

Hotel Izulu presents a Valentines Day to remember

 The 5-star Hotel Izulu in Ballito renowned for its multiple dining options will be celebrating Valentines in style with two signature menus created by Executive Chef, Guy Gorrie and to make this celebration even more memorable, accommodation for two people sharing in an Executive Suite is available at just R2 880.00, which includes the respective Valentines menu and a bottle of ‘bubbly’ in the Suite with a romantic turn down.

On Saturday, 11 February in the Imbizo Hall, guests can enjoy a Valentine’s buffet at R350 per person with highlights such as - Anti Pasta, a selection of cold meats, artichokes, anchovy fillets, olives, feta, and oysters as well as homemade focaccia with toppings of your choice.

Pan fried line fish served with wilted spinach and finished with a sauce of your choice. Abbacchio alla Toscana - slow roasted shoulder of lamb with rosemary and garlic served with roast potatoes and garlic and basil roasted vegetables.  Vegetable lasagna and spaghetti and meat balls served in a rich tomato and roasted pepper sauce.  Tagliatelle served with a mushroom & olive sauce and linguini served with garlic, chilli and prawns.

For dessert - Italian meringue served with raspberry coulis & passion fruit ice cream, Chocolate mousse and chocolate coated strawberries.

In Gigi’s Brasserie on Tuesday, 14 February a set Valentine’s Day menu at R350 per person will be presented – Oysters accompanied by tomato and avocado salsa/ shallot and red wine vinegar.  Truffled mushroom risotto finished with a parmesan crisp.  Linguini served with lobster, garlic and chilli with a drizzle of cream and confit loin of lamb served with roasted baby potatoes, asparagus and finished with a port jus.

For dessert - Trio of Chocolate - orange, milk and dark chocolate mousse.

The romantic setting of Gigi’s Brasserie coupled with Guy Gorrie’s signature menus that take advantage of the extensive organic herb and vegetable garden on the property ensures a Valentines to remember.
