Africa Albida Tourism, Victoria Falls’ leading hospitality group, has been gradually re-introducing the Lokuthula room stock back into hotel inventory as the lodges are released from timeshare, thereby offering a popular budget friendly accommodation option on the Estate.
There are 31 lodges that have come available as hotel stock and they are currently undergoing an upgrade, which includes the installation of air conditioning and new queen size beds in the main bedrooms and soft refurbishments in the living areas.
Africa Albida Tourism (AAT) Chief Executive Ross Kennedy said, “The pricing for the lodges positions them at the entry level three star market and taking into account the current refurbishment, the lodges offer real value for money.”
“In recognising the growth of competition in Victoria Falls, it was decided to become more aggressive in the marketing of Lokuthula Lodges as additional timeshare stock comes back into our control as the developers and operators of the lodges. Lokuthula is the perfect fit for the growing demand of well-priced accommodation, as more price conscious markets start to use Victoria Falls as a destination,” adds Kennedy.
Lokuthula Lodges, located in tranquil gardens on the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge Estate, are also ideal for the self-drive market, destination weddings, school and church groups as well as families.
“The impact of the upgrade is already being felt with operators booking international tour series into Lokuthula Lodges for the first time ever,” says Kennedy.
AAT is a Zimbabwe-owned hospitality group which operates a portfolio of properties in Victoria Falls, including Lokuthula Lodges – Victoria Falls, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls Safari Club, Victoria Falls Safari Suites and Ngoma Safari Lodge in Chobe, Botswana.
