Welcome to The Event, a division of Film & Event Media. We’re a South African based publishing house that is focused on everything film and events in Africa and around the world. The Event is Africa’s leading meetings industry magazine. The key to success in this growing industry is exposure to your target audience. The Event offers you the platform to reach that audience (international and regional) on a month-to-month basis, through a focused business-to-business publication.

Founded in 2003, Film & Event Media produces business-to-business publications, and acts as an online media hub for the film and events industries.  Our monthlies and annuals include: The Filmmaker’s Guide to South Africa – a yearly showcase of the SA film industry targeted at an international market; The Event – a monthly that covers the thriving African events and exhibitions industry; The Callsheet – a monthly about the African film industry that covers commercials, film, technology, documentaries and more. Film & Event Media publications also include The Event Planner’s Guide to Africa (EPG) – Africa’s leading meetings industry annual publication.

 

The Event is printed by Forms Express and their suppliers have The Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody certification. The magazine is printed on Hi-Q 80gsm gloss, wood free white paper, which is sourced from sustainably managed forests, and uses vegetable-oil-based, environmentally-friendly inks conforming to the highest European standards.
